A little bit about Sebring Florida

Sebring is a lovely, historic place. Mr. George Sebring founded and created it with a beautiful circle as the heart of this town with spokes that lead out to the various outlying areas in the heartland. We are home to many retirees and snowbirds (as our northern friends are affectionately called), along with many wonderful families and children in this relatively small, but active hometown community. Restaurants, a historic theater dedicated to impacting the lives of children, a children’s museum, as well as shops and art galleries comprises this picturesque Circle where residents can sit and relax. The Lakeshore Mall is on the main thoroughfare, Route 27, with a variety of other fine business establishments to meet one’s needs. Sebring is part of Highlands County and is the home of many lakes where boating, fishing and other water sports are enjoyed. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy several fine quality golf courses as well. Sebring boasts the 12 Hours of Sebring…racing that has been a tradition for many years at the Sebring Raceway. A short drive brings one to The Highlands Hammock State Park offering walking and biking trails, a CCC museum, and tram rides to see Florida in its more natural state. Besides local attractions in nearby towns, we are between 45 minutes to two hours from such attractions as Bok Tower Gardens, LEGOLAND, Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, The Holy Land Experience, malls, and more. We are approximately 1 ½ hours from either coast.
